Doctor Bike is operated by Eoin Ryan. A very keen cyclist himself he currently races on the road for Swords CC but spent 11 years living in Australia where he competed mainly in XC MTB, including many XC national races along with marathons and endurance events over 12 and 24 hours.
After returning to Ireland from Australia with a young family Eoin became a qualified bicycle mechanic and completed Cytech 1 and 2 training in Manchester, UK in 2010. Cytech is the bicycle industry’s recognised training and accreditation scheme for cycle mechanics and bike technicians.
In 2012 Eoin completed his training in National Standard Cycle Training (UK) in Manchester in order to begin providing cycle skills training to children in primary schools along with adults and community groups. Since then he has trained nearly 2,000 children in primary schools around Dublin and this number continues to grow.
Eoin is also part of Dolmen Sports who organise sports events around Ireland including the Connemarathon and the Rock and Road Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K.
